Opus One Winery Collaboration

We are excited to share our most recent collaboration with Opus One Winery in Napa Valley.

Opus One Winery, is a prestigious winery established in 1978 as a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, a renowned Napa Valley vintner. The collaboration aimed to create a unique Bordeaux-style blend using Napa Valley grapes, combining Old World winemaking traditions with New World innovation.

At the winery we were able to get a first hand look at the intricate level of detail going into the wine. It was mind blowing. For example, the barrels may seems as they are painted red for looks. As time goes on the barrel will soak up the wine, which means they need to periodically refill them Since there will undoubtedly be spillage, they paint the barrel with the wine itself so it doesn’t come across as looking sloppy.

Over the years, Opus One has maintained its reputation for producing some of the finest wines in the world. The winery's architecture, designed by Scott Johnson, is a blend of classic and contemporary styles, reflecting the harmony of tradition and modernity in its winemaking philosophy.

We had the honor of crafting an exclusive ballpoint pen made from their French Oak wine barrels.
